May 1-2 Network file server (Bluearc) maintenance complete
Article: KB0010400 Published: 2012-04-16 Last modified: 2016-07-20

What are we doing?

We will perform system maintenance on all file servers that are part of the Fermilab Bluearc NAS service.

Start time: Tuesday, May 1, 2012; 7 p.m.
End time: Wednesday, May 2, 2012; 6 a.m.

What do you need to do?

We advise you to close any files you have stored on the network file server and refrain from opening such files until after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2. This will prevent edits to open files being lost.

What is the impact to you?

Staff members will be unable to access files stored on the network file server during the maintenance period. If there are documents you need during this time-frame, please save them to your local computer before 7 p.m. on May 1. In addition, staff members will be unable to use services that depend on affected file servers.
