How to test and troubleshoot your OSG certificate problem

You can find a slideshow of screen shots of various certificate stores with certificates correctly installed here.

How to test your OSG certificate

Go to our test page to check whether your OSG certificate has been properly imported into your browser.

Warning: the CertTestNow test page does not work with the Macintosh Safari browser.

How to troubleshoot your OSG certificate problem

If the above test fails:

Go to the certificates area in your browser and check the certificate expiration date.

If the above test succeeds but you fail to access other protected websites:

  • Install the OSG CA certificates for the Open Science Grid in your browser if you have not done so. Some of the protected websites may require it. View additional information on downloading the OSG CA certificates.

If you forget your encryption password (required when exporting your certificate) and can't re-import your exported certificate: Re-export it from the initial browser, and enter a new encryption password.
